Welcome to AppalachiaTCG — a space for players, collectors, and fans of trading card games to come together in a fun, respectful, and inclusive environment. Whether you’re a veteran player or brand new, we’re glad to have you as part of the community.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, we ask that all members follow this Code of Conduct.
✅ General Conduct Expectations
- Respect Each Other: Treat everyone with kindness, patience, and courtesy — both in person and online. We’re here to enjoy the game, not to put others down.
- No Excessive Aggression: Verbal or physical aggression, intimidation, bullying, or hostility will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
- Mind Your Language: Swearing should be kept to a minimum. Absolutely no vulgar, hateful, or offensive language — especially around younger players.
- Children Under 13: Must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while attending a AppalachiaTCG event or Store.
- No Vaping or Smoking: Strictly prohibited inside the AppalachiaTCG building it is a small space and provides very little ventilation. Please use designated areas outside if needed.
- Absolutely No Drugs: The use of illegal drugs or substances on AppalachiaTCG premises will result in immediate removal and potential ban. Whatever you do on your own time and own property is your business.
- Practice Good Personal Hygiene
Please come to events clean and fresh — that means showering, wearing clean clothes, and brushing your teeth beforehand. We’re in close spaces and around others for hours at a time, so let’s all do our part to make the environment comfortable for everyone.
🎴 Card & Game Etiquette
- Ask Politely to See Someone Else’s Cards: Never assume it’s okay to touch or inspect someone else’s cards or deck. Always ask first and wait for permission.
- Be Respectful of Others’ Property: Do not grab, move, or alter another player’s items without consent.
- Handling Disputes: If a rules issue comes up during a game:
- Politely call for a judge or ask for a rule check.
- Accept that mistakes happen and rules may need clarification.
- Arguments or unsportsmanlike behavior over rulings will not be tolerated.
- Be a Good Sport: Win or lose, always shake hands (or offer a respectful “GG”), and support the friendly atmosphere we’re building. We’ve all been there and it is frustrating to lose, everyone wants to win but most games are 1-on-1 and you 100% cannot win them all.
💻 Online Community Conduct (Website, Discord, Social Media)
- No Harassment or Toxicity: Online bullying, trolling, or targeting other members is grounds for removal from the community.
- Respect Mods and Admins: If a moderator asks you to stop a behavior or discussion, comply immediately. Repeated rule-breaking will result in timeouts or bans.
- Stay on Topic: Use the appropriate channels or forums for discussion topics. No spam or advertising without permission.
📌 Consequences
Failure to follow the Code of Conduct may result in:
- A verbal warning
- Temporary suspension from events or Discord
- Permanent removal from the AppalachiaTCG community (including the HQ, online spaces, and events)
Our team reserves the right to make judgment calls in the interest of keeping the space safe and welcoming for everyone.
