In this episode of the AppalachiaTCG Podcast, we discuss Final Fantasy MTG release and it being the first EVER official draft in Magoffin County Kentucky.
Drafting Final Fantasy in the Mountains
Not only did we have our first draft, our first DRAFT was this mega release Final Fantasy! The set is incredibly hard to get your hands on too!
Drafting Final Fantasy in MTG was a crazy experience we even had some NEW people that drafted their first time ever it was amazing!
FF MTG might be more than just a collector’s item as the power level of some of the cards and through the roof.

Visit The TCGplayer Store💰 MSRP vs Market – What’s Fair Pricing in TCG?
MSRP vs Market pricing has become a VERY hot topic lately. As a store owner, and someone that can get cards at cost we’ve always tried to sell below market value of the cards. Now, most people pick up cards at Wal-Mart, Target, Gamestop without ever questioning the price. Pokemon and sports cards are running out at this major retail stores and then in my opinion they come to SMALL card stores and expect that we are going to be selling these rare items at Retail cost even though they market is 5x that. Getting called a scalper online is very new to me, but I’ve never even sold at top dollar unless I’ve sold on TCGplayer.
It’s a hot topic, and I get it, everyone wants a fair price and shot. But, stores like AppalachiaTCG aren’t getting product like before. Everything is allocated to the ground. Sure we might get 1 single box of Destined Rivals, and MSRP is what like $110? I honestly believe IT SHOULD be at that, but it’s not like you can order more and more cards.
There’s no easy answer, and no choice is going to make everyone happy. As it stands now AppalachiaTCG is trying it’s best to make a profit on cards, and not a living. I personally don’t think I’ve used a single dime other than to reinvest into the store and to give the best deals I can.
In a perfect world people would buy at MSRP all the time, but at one point I bought Pokemon and couldn’t give it away at MSRP.
