Woah we got some bands today in the Flesh and Blood TCG, AppalachiaTCG plays a lot of commoner and I was not expecting much today but there has been and equipment ban!
Effective Date: Monday, November 11, 2024
Classic Constructed
- High Octane – Banned
Rationale: Aims to reduce extreme offensive overlaps by limiting Mechanologist’s multiple weapon attacks, aligning with the game’s design principles. - Count Your Blessings (Blue) – Banned
Rationale: Control decks built around Count Your Blessings had limited counterplay options. This ban allows time for more interactive cards to enter the pool, beginning with the upcoming set, The Hunted.
Blitz
- Zen – Removed from Living Legend Status
Rationale: Adjustments to the Living Legend points threshold bring Zen back into official Blitz play, aligning Blitz with Classic Constructed standards. - Belittle – Banned
Rationale: In anticipation of Zen’s return, Belittle is temporarily banned to maintain balance. - Hadron Collider – Banned
Rationale: Recently released support cards have enhanced Data Doll’s capabilities, and Hadron Collider’s consistency enabled aggressive plays in Blitz, prompting this ban for balance.
Living Legend
- Open the Floodgates – Restricted to one copy per deck
Rationale: Kano decks in Living Legend saw dominant success by running multiple copies. Limiting this card addresses excessive draw power and consistency in the format. - Star Struck – Unrestricted
Rationale: Evolving metagame balance supports Bravo’s access to this card.
Commoner
Aether Ironweave – Banned
Rationale: Chane’s high success in Commoner events is attributed partly to Aether Ironweave’s unique value, particularly from the chest slot. This ban aims to balance the format.
